Thymol is a natural monoterpene phenol derivative of thyme. It is an isomer of carvacrol and is found in thyme oil. Extracted from thyme and various other plants, it is white and crystalline. It has a pleasant aroma and strong anti-corrosion properties.

Application
As a fragrance additive: Thymol can be used as a fragrance additive in products such as perfumes, soaps, shampoos and cosmetics.
Pharmaceutical field: thymol is used in the synthesis of certain drugs or drug intermediates.
